Fulbright Scholar at the University of Washington (2022)

Dr. Sapoznikova is a Researcher at the Limnological Institute (Lake Baikal, Russia) in Laboratory of Ichthyology. She received a Ph.D. in Ichthyology, specializing in ultrastructural analysis of fish hearing epithelium (Moscow State University). The current aims of her current research are to investigate the molecular and cellular effects of noise stressors in artificial (aquaculture) and natural environments. She uses diverse research techniques including microscopy, molecular methods, and conditioned reflex methods.
